Our Organic products never contain GMO’s, are produced without harmful chemicals, reduce water consumption, protect the health and safety of farm workers, preserve & protect the natural environment, and demonstrate the excellent values of our company.

This is not a sideline — Organic is what we do.

Certified FairTrade Coffees

We are Fairtrade Certified: a global movement changing the way trade works through better prices, decent working conditions, and a fairer deal for farmers and workers in developing countries. Our Fairtrade Coffees contribute to the livelihood of small-scale producers, improve sustainability, fight gender inequality, and fight back against the use of child labor.

All of the Coffees that we roast and sell are FairTrade Certified.

Compostable Packaging

All of our Coffees & Teas are packaged in compostable packaging that meet the ASTM D6400, EN13432, and TUV standards. That means that our packaging is safe and sustainable and isn’t made from petrochemicals. Even the zippers, valves, and labels are compostable.

Our Coffees

All of our Coffees are Certified Organic, Certified FairTrade, carefully selected + single-origin, small-batch roasted to perfection, packaged in a 100% compostable bag (even the zipper, valve, and labels are compostable), and Carbon Neutral, using Gold Standard Off-Sets.

Our DECAF Coffees only use Water Process Decaffeination -- preserving the excellent flavor, while not causing any harm.

We are also members of the Specialty Coffee Association and the Coffee Roasters Guild. We promote the highest standards in the Coffee Industry and we ‘practice what we preach.’

Our Teas

All of our Teas, Matchas, & Herbal Infusions are Certified Organic and are sourced from the best gardens, plantations, & estates around the World.

We offer excellent quality teas like our Bellevue Breakfast Blend, naturally decaffeinated options like our Hibiscus Berry Herbal Infusion, and our world-class Ceremonial Grade Japanese Matcha, for the more zen among us. Each is packaged in a 100% Compostable Bag (even the zipper and labels are compostable), and is Carbon Neutral, using Gold Standard Off-Sets.

We are also promoting global excellence in the Tea industry through our International Specialty Tea Association membership.

Carbon Neutral

We measure & off-set all of the business' impacts with Gold Standard Off-Sets (we're carbon neutral); we power our entire facility with wind-generated electricity from Green Mountain Energy (no electricity from oil, fracking, or nuclear power — no ‘transitional’ nonsense); and, we work diligently toward being as plastic-free (we only pack our Coffees and Teas in compostable packaging, including the zippers, valves, and labels) and as zero-waste as we can be (composting, reusing, recycling, and only sending things to a landfill as a last resort).

We are a seriously environmentally friendly company, so we can make the World better for you and everybody else, through our choices and actions.

Reducing Plastic Waste

We are committed to reducing plastic waste and the devastating effect it is having on the natural environment.

All of our Coffee and Tea packaging is 100% compostable, including the zippers, valves, and labels.

The processing equipment that we use for coffee roasting and tea packaging is all NSF Certified stainless steel — we don’t use any plastic processing equipment.

Our shipping and fulfillment products are reusable, biodegradable, compostable, and, as a last resort, recyclable, including the tape (we don’t use ‘packing peanuts’ or petrochemical-based plastic bags).

Art is Important

Our Coffee & Tea packaging is designed minimally, however, a lot of thought went into every aspect of it, including our interest in promoting ‘design thinking’ and the great importance of art & design -- and the corresponding pastimes & occupations -- in everyday life.

Art makes life worth living. We are surrounded — at all times — by music, art, & design. (Some good and some bad, but hey, who’s to say?)

We are committed to reframing (unintentional pun) the Arts as a primary pursuit, and not just something that people do on the side. After all, what would our World be like without the Arts? (pretty terrible, if you ask us)
